What this system is

POSS Backup is a private disaster-recovery backup system for the POSS environment. It creates backup sets of the POSS environment so that the environment can be recovered after data loss or host failure.

POSS Backup은 POSS 환경을 위한 비공개 재해 복구(disaster recovery) 백업 시스템입니다. 데이터 손실이나 호스트 장애 이후 환경을 복구할 수 있도록 백업 세트를 생성합니다.

How Google Drive is used

Google Drive is used only as an off-host backup destination — a second location that holds a copy of backup files, so that the loss of the primary host does not mean the loss of every backup.

The application uses Google Drive API access only to create and verify backup files created by POSS Backup.

Google Drive는 오직 호스트 외부(off-host) 백업 대상으로만 사용됩니다. Google Drive API 접근은 POSS Backup이 생성한 백업 파일을 업로드하고 검증하는 용도로만 사용됩니다.

What this system is not

POSS Backup is not a general Google Drive client, and Google Drive is not used as production application storage. POSS Backup is privately operated and is not offered as a public service.
